The Sydney International Boat Show first ran in 1968 and has since grown to be the southern hemisphere's most recognised consumer event as well as the show where exhibitors report the highest product sales and business-to-business activity. The Sydney Show has the largest visitor numbers of any boat show in Australia.
The show commenced in 1968 and has resided in its current home, Darling Harbour, Sydney, since 1989. The show occupies 6 Halls (28,000 square metres) of undercover exhibition space at Darling Harbour and is complimented with a specially built extension to the
existing marina in Cockle Bay. This marina, only two minutes walk from the exhibition halls, has the capacity to exhibit over 300 large vessels.
