We want to tell the world about Agfest Field Days, it is a success story and there are people missing out simply because they don't know what Agfest Field Days has to offer them. Agfest is an event organised by the Rural Youth Organisation of Tasmania. Volunteers from this Organisation spend many hours organising and working to ensure everyone enjoys the Agfest experience.
Despite the soggy start to Agfest 2012, the sun came out mid Thursday morning and showcased our lovely Tasmanian Autumn weather for the rest of the event. Early reports from exhibitors are that the event was again a success with official numbers of 61,529 patrons attending over 3 days.
Agfest is a proud supporter of "The Australian Year of the Farmer" and very happy to promote their activities at the field days. We welcomed Glenn McGrath, Patron of AYOF who spoke at the Official Opening on the Thursday morning on the importance of agricuture and the people who make up the industry.
Agfest is always held on the first Thursday, Friday and Saturday in May. The dates for Agfest 2013 are the 2nd, 3rd & 4th and the Application Package will be available online by the first week of October - see "Information for Exhibitors" - "Applying for a Site". Closing date for applications will be 7th December.
The Agfest Committee is committed to continual improvement and we find feedback from exhibitors and patrons a valuable resource - all ideas are discussed and many are implemented, some we simply can't. If you would like to send in some feedback for consideration, please download the form below and return as directed.
