With the enhancement of globalization and rapid development of informatization construction, many industries require higher production and service efficiency. The flourish of various self-vending machines, ticket vending machines and self-service facilities in recent years leads modern shopping trend. By the end of 2016, there were 190 thousand vending machines in China, including the beverage, foods, adult products vending machines. Owing to the popularity of vending machines and diversify of operation modes, a growing amount of people began their start-ups with vending machines. At present, there are more than 350 vending machine operators in China. A new payment module is put into effect. An increasing number of manufacturers also launch the online management system to satisfy the operators. Statistically, the enterprises dealing with the manufacturing and operation of vending machines mainly settle down in the coastal cities of Yangtze River Delta and Pearl River Delta, particularly in Hunan province. Moreover, most of vending machines are placed in the airport, railway station, subway stations, schools, factories, parks, malls, hospitals, tourism spots, office buildings, etc.

Along with the speedy development of China’s economy, the vending machines and self-service facilities to some extent is the sign of the prosperity of cities. The vending industry has gained immense popularity among customers at the age of 18-34 while increasingly been favored by the customer groups at the age of 10-17 and 35-44.

It is projected that in 2017 there will be about 30 thousand sets of vending machines operated and the industry will create almost 10 billion yuan turnout. Needless to say, the figure well illustrated how booming the China’s vending industry will be. The 7th China International Vending Machine&Self-service Facilities Fair (China VMF 2019) will continue to satisfy the market demands and stimulate the industry development.
