EDMONTON, AB, CANADA,   July 4, 2012 /Stanford Who’s Who/ — Serving as a leader in the nonprofit management field in the Alberta region of Canada, Sujit Chakrabartty has enjoyed an incredibly successful career filled with accomplishments, leading to his addition to the prestigious ranks of leading professionals with Stanford Who’s Who. Over the course of his brilliant professional career, Sujit has routinely displayed the passion, vision, dedication and diligence necessary to be mentioned among the elite.

After leading a successful career as a research scientist, Mr. Chakrabartty decided to dedicate himself to the field of philanthropy, serving the needs of the community. For the past 10 years, he has served as Treasurer of the Vedanta Society of Edmonton, which is a nationally registered charitable organization that has been operating since 1985. The Society is involved I the presentation of cultural programs, including heritage languages, festivals, performing groups, and musical ensembles.

Conceived under the leadership and guidance of the late Swami Bhashyananda of the Vivekananda Vedanta Society, the organization maintains a philosophical link with the Ramakrishna Mission in Belur Math, India and the Toronto Vedanta Society. The goal of the Vedanta Society of Edmonton is to facilitate anyone on their active quest for spiritual development, mainly through the provision of humanitarian service.

Always looking to give back to society, Sujit has been dedicated to doing volunteer work since his retirement from the scientific research field in 1992. In addition to the exceptional work he does with the Vedanta Society of Edmonton, Mr. Chakrabartty enjoys writing articles for publications in India.
