During his collegiate career, George earned a Diploma in Medical Technology and a Master’s Diploma in Medical Laboratory Science from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology. He is a member of the Townsville Chamber of Commerce, Rotary International, Toastmasters International, Magnetic Island Rotary Club, and the Townsville Toastmasters. Mr. Artz is also involved in numerous volunteer activities with the Africa Alive Foundation.
