Enerji Limited (ASX:ERJ) Announce Australias First Opcon Powerbox Departs Perth For Carnarvon Project

Thursday, February 23, 2012
Perth, Feb 23, 2012 (ABN Newswire) - Perth-based clean power company Enerji Limited (ASX:ERJ) yesterday began transportation of Australia's first Opcon Powerbox from Perth to the Carnarvon project for installation.

Accompanying the Opcon Powerbox on its journey north is one of the heat recovery units, incorporating an Airec heat exchanger, that will be fitted to the exhaust systems of the existing generators. This equipment enables Enerji to capture the heat from the exhaust and channel it into the Opcon Powerbox. Pictures of both are provided below.

Staff and contractors from Enerji will be on site to oversee civil works and construction of the waste heat to power system. Installation will continue throughout March with commissioning expected by late March.

Last week the Western Australia Minister for Energy, the Hon Peter Collier, inspected Enerji's Opcon Powerbox and was also briefed on Enerji and the Carnarvon project. Earlier last week a sod-turning ceremony was conducted at the Carnarvon site by member for North West Mr Vincent Catania MLA.

Enerji was recently granted works approval from the WA Department of Environment and Conservation (DEC) enabling commencement of installation at the Carnarvon project site.

Further construction updates, highlights and milestones will be announced in due course.
