The government said on Thursday (Mar. 27) that it plans to sell up
to 4.95 trillion won ($4.97 billion) worth of bonds in April.
The Ministry of Strategy and Finance said it plans to float 960
billion won worth of three-year Treasuries on April 10, 1.57
trillion won worth of five-year bonds four days later, and 1.15
trillion won worth of 10-year notes on April 22.
State bonds with a maturity of 20 years totaling 480 billion won
are to be put up for bid on April 29, while 150 billion won worth
of inflation-protected bonds that mature in 10 years are to be sold
on April 24.
In addition, the ministry plans to sell 646 billion won worth of
Treasuries through a non-competitive bidding process.
The country? top economic policy minister, meanwhile, said the
government sold 4.31 trillion won worth of Treasuries in March.
Seoul said earlier in the year that up to 69.9 trillion won worth
of state bonds could be sold this year.
